This cultivar is actually a poor. They are between and 1 inch in length and about inch or a little more wide. Unfortunately many kinds of boxwoods are susceptible to an incurable fungal disease called boxwood blight.

This shrub can be used in an enclosed area in front of the house or the back area. Dee runk may grow 8 feet 2 5 m tall with a slender profile of only 2 feet 76 cm. With some pruning it can be a tight conical shape.

They are a bright light green with a smooth glossy surface and they always look fresh and green giving an attractive overall appeal to the plant. Its deep green foliage has shown good resistance to boxwood blight. Great for those narrow spots in home foundation plants planted in the ground or in well draining pots.

For centuries the most popular cultivar grown has been the so called english boxwood buxus sempervirens suffruticosa a slow growing dwarf with small leaves. The fungus appears as brown spots on leaves until all foliage dries up and drops. Yes dee runk makes a good screen although they re narrow and should be planted 3 to 4 feet apart at most in screening situations.

And how could she not be a fan. The dee runk boxwood has small oval leaves arranged in pairs all along the stems. Highlander is another upright form with rapid growth of up to 24 inches 61 cm per year a trait useful for quickly establishing landscapes.
