The botanical name is cornus florida var. At its maturity this plant gets to be about 5 6 tall and wide. The prairiefire dogwood is a bit of a show off.

There are many reasons to love this landscape plant but the bright color is at the top of our list. This compact selection of red twig dogwood has dark red stems that provide a spectacular show in the winter sunlight. 6 high x 6 wide shrub form.

The leaf color gradually ages into an eye catching chartreuse mix of bright green and gold. The prairie fire dogwood is an orange red twigged dogwood that has incredibly yellow foliage all during the growing season. Brilliant red fall foliage drops to reveal flaming orange red stems for winter drama.

New spring leaves are ablaze with golden yellow color. It has invasive traits that enable it to spread aggressively. This is a pink dogwood tree a cultivated form of the above white cultivar.
